Why should guests visit your region and hotel this summer?
- Bergen is surrounded by fjords and mountains, offering excellent opportunities for hiking and nature experiences. The city itself is rich in history, and the old wharf area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
During summer, Bergen hosts festivals and cultural events where you can enjoy local music, art, and a vibrant city atmosphere. Our street, Skostredet, is also a destination in itself, known for its diverse culinary scene and international influences.
What is your favourite place in the region?
- If you are in Bergen, Fløyen is a must-visit. The Fløibanen funicular is an experience in itself, having transported visitors up the mountain for more than 100 years.
The journey starts in the city centre and takes about six minutes. At the top, you are rewarded with panoramic views of the city, fjords, and surrounding mountains.
What is your favourite activity or experience?
- One of the most popular experiences in Bergen is a fjord cruise. These trips allow you to explore Norway’s dramatic fjords while enjoying stunning landscapes and unique nature.
You can choose from different boat tours that take you close to the fjord coastline and small islands.
Any hiking tips?
- We highly recommend several hikes around Bergen. One of the most popular experiences is the Seven Mountains hike, offering spectacular views over the city and fjords. Other great options include Fløyen and Ulriken, both offering scenic trails and panoramic viewpoints suitable for different levels of experience.
What local speciality should guests try?
- There are many great places to eat in Bergen, but we especially highlight our in-house French restaurant, Brasserie Chérie. Here you can enjoy authentic French cuisine made with local Norwegian ingredients. We work closely with regional farmers to ensure the freshest produce.
The menu ranges from classic French small plates to refined main courses designed to give guests a memorable dining experience.
