Opening in April 2024
Fløien Folkerestaurant is an esteemed historical building that first opened its doors on 13 July 1925. The building has withstood the test of time through many generations and various tenants, but now needs to be renovated and made universally accessible with new elevators. The goal of the renovation is to modernise the building and adapt it to the times.
A new restaurant house. Six unique, historical rooms. A warm welcome. For everyone. The hundred-year-old restaurant house is soon to be revived in a new form. With the most beautiful view in all of Bergen, the ambition is for Fløirestauranten to be the natural meeting point for all residents of Bergen and visitors alike.
The new Brasserie has a casual, relaxed atmosphere and delightful local cuisine. In the Fireplace Lounge, you can enjoy a great cocktail made from ingredients sourced from nature and the season. Dress up for a special occasion and experience a 10-course sensory menu at Schou. Or drop by the outdoor terrace to savor life, the city, and the view with a refreshing drink and delicious food.
The menus will be a tribute to seasonal ingredients from the mountains and the fjord, with a strong local connection. Just as Destination Fløyen aims to encourage visitors to enjoy nature and the opportunities it offers, Fløirestauranten intends to bring guests closer to nature through food and beverage experiences.
