Stay three nights - pay for two
Step into another era. At Bårdshaug Herregård, you'll find a beautiful manor park, a rich industrial history, and genuine hospitality.
The manor was purchased by architect and businessman Christian Thams in the 1890s and rebuilt into a distinctive estate. Here you stay in historic surroundings, with easy access to Trondheim, the coast, and some of the region's most notable cultural and industrial heritage sites.
The location makes it easy to explore a varied landscape. Visit the Thams Pavilion, Norway's contribution to the 1893 World's Fair in Chicago, or spend a day at Løkken Verk, home to the Thamshavn Railway, the Orkla Industrial Museum, and the old Gammelgruva mine — offering clear insight into the region's industrial past.
With Bårdshaug as a base, it's also a short trip to the city of Trondheim, or further out to the coastal islands of Hitra and Frøya. For a quieter route, explore Inderøy and the Golden Detour (Den Gyldne Omvei), known for local food, cultural landscapes, and small producers. Back at the hotel, unwind in the historic lounges. Football fan? The World Cup will be showing on the big screen in Jaktbaren from the opening match on 11 June through the final on 19 July — with the hotel's own World Cup burger to go with it.
