What is your favourite place in the region?
- One of our favourite places is Blindleia, the sheltered inland waterway stretching from Lillesand towards Kristiansand. This is the Southern Norway archipelago at its very best. We also love the town centre itself, with its harbour, new pedestrian streets, and lively summer atmosphere.
What is your favourite activity or experience?
- A boat trip or kayaking through Blindleia is a fantastic experience, and rentals are available here in town. The local swimming boat departing from the harbour also takes you to hidden swimming spots and small islands along the coast.
We also recommend the summer concerts and shows in Hotelhaven. There is always a great atmosphere.
Any hiking tips?
- We may not have the highest mountains, but a walk to Fløresteinen gives you beautiful views over Lillesand and the coastline. There are also several scenic walking areas and well-marked trails nearby.
What local speciality should guests try?
- As a coastal town in Southern Norway, we naturally recommend fresh seafood, whether self-caught or bought from the local fish shop.
At the hotel restaurant, our kitchen creates seasonal dishes throughout the year, with menus that change according to the season. We are passionate about local food and use products from regional producers such as Slakter Jens Eide, both in our menus and at breakfast.
