What is your favourite place in the region?
- We love the atmosphere at Kistefos, where contemporary art, nature, and industrial history come together in a spectacular setting. There is something special about walking through The Twist, or simply following the river and taking in the surroundings.
What is your favourite activity or experience?
- Exploring Hadeland by bike is something we highly recommend. We rent out electric bikes and have many scenic cycling routes nearby, whether you want to ride through the cultural landscape, along Lake Randsfjorden, or stop by local farm shops along the way.
Any hiking tips?
- Sølvsberget and Brandbukampen are two of our absolute favourites. Both offer beautiful views without requiring demanding hikes, making them perfect for both active travellers and families. Ideal places to enjoy coffee from a thermos and take in the scenery of Hadeland.
What local speciality should guests try?
- Fjord pork from local farms and homemade rhubarb desserts made with rhubarb from our own garden are always favourites.
At our café, we serve food with a true taste of Hadeland, and in the country store you will find products from small local producers, from apple juice and cheese to handmade ice cream.
