Visnes Hotel

Welcome to Visnes Hotel, a charming hotel in Stryn with history dating all the way back to 1850. A stay at Visnes Hotel will present many impressions from the Norwegian fjords, with its unique nature and its characteristic culture.

The hotel was originally one of the biggest farms in the area, when the owner Anton Visnes decided to furnish some rooms and to receive guests in the main house. From then, the farm slowly developed into a hotel. Visnes Hotel now offers 15 rooms, where every single one of them are decorated in different styles, inspired from the interwar years. The breakfast will be served in the original ”Old Kitchen”, where your hosts will welcome you with freshly baked bread and willingly share tips and recommendations about your plans for the day.

The restaurant and the porch outside is a natural place to gather in the night. Here, the chefs mainly serve Norwegian and traditional food every night in the summer season. From the hotel you can easily take a stroll to the town centre of Stryn, or a walk along the river. Stryn is perfectly located in the middle of every big tourist attraction in the West Coast of Norway and Visnes Hotel is a perfect location for excursions and daytrips in the area.
