How to get to Støtt?


Støtt – top of Helgeland is situated far north off the Helgeland coast. It is surprisingly easy to reach our island. We enjoy excellent communications with Bodø, Ørnes, Sandnessjøen and other places on the Helgeland coast.

PLANE AND EXPRESS BOAT

Both SAS and Norwegian offer frequent flights to Bodø.

Widerøe offers local flights to and from the towns of Mo i Rana, Mosjøen and Sandnessjøen.

From Bodø’s express boat terminal, the boat trip to Støtt on the Nordland Express (NEX1) takes just 1 hour 10 minutes. From Sandnessjøen, the express boat to Støtt takes 3 hours and 30 minutes.

CAR AND BOAT

If you are travelling by car along the scenic Coastal Highway (Fv17), or along highway E6, we suggest you park your car in Ørnes and take the express boat to Støtt.

The Nordland Express (NEX1) and the local express boats have several daily departures between Ørnes and Støtt. If you are travelling on the Norwegian coastal steamer, Hurtigruten, you reach Støtt by taking either the Nordland Expresss or the local express boat.
