Enjoy Island Hospitality

The new hotel on the hill In Bekkjarvik, referred to as Beckerwyc on old English sea charts, there has been an inn since the 17th century for sailors seeking a safe harbor. The Johannessen family has managed this heritage, and over the past 40 years, they have proudly built upon it, slowly developing the destination of Bekkjarvik with quality and care. The new boutique hotel, Beckerwyc House, is an exclusive and modern variation of the classic inn.

Beckerwyc House has 20 exclusive rooms and suites, with half of them featuring private outdoor spaces. The outdoor areas consist of several terraces where the hotel guests can relax in both lounges and a jacuzzi. There is a parking lot with charging stations for electric cars for guests arriving by car. The hotel is a natural part of Bekkjarvik Gjestgiveri Hotel & Suites, just a 4-minute walk from the traditional inn. The "Food Cathedral" on the hotel's top floor will provide space for a variety of food and drink experiences, which are given great attention at Beckerwyc House.

Beckerwyc Academy aims to enhance food knowledge along three axes: Cooking classes for individuals and businesses, digital cooking courses via streaming, and competence-building measures for the local industry. A chambre séparée facilitates both private dining experiences and meetings. The new hotel also hosts Mirabelle by master chef Ørjan Johannessen, an exclusive restaurant with the signature Island Gastronomy.
