Vertshuset Røros

With roots stretching back to the 17th century, our guests are welcomed by rich culture and history. Vertshuset Røros is beautifully situated in the historic Rammgården, where centuries‑old traditions meet modern comfort. 

Rammgården is a charming building restored in the traditional Røros style, in close collaboration with the Directorate for Cultural Heritage. Tucked away in the courtyard, you’ll find 21 cosy rooms full of character, once old storehouses, gateways and lofts, now transformed into warm and inviting rooms. You can also stay in the historic Wool Factory Uldvarefabrikken, home to 15 unique guest rooms. Once a bustling workplace with 60 employees working around the clock, Uldvarefabrikken now stands as an important monument to Røros’ industrial past. Today, it has been thoughtfully converted into hotel rooms where the past and present blend seamlessly. Vertshuset Røros offers a rare combination of history, atmosphere and comfort, right in the centre of Røros. 

In our restaurant, we create memorable dining experiences in surroundings that carry the weight of history. We work with the best seasonal ingredients, drawing inspiration from both local traditions and international flavours. Our menus shift with the seasons to ensure we always serve the freshest produce available.
