A UNESCO World Heritage Site
The World Heritage site Røros and its surrounding landscape is a unique mining town established in 1644, built of wood and shaped by centuries of copper mining. From the harsh mountain plateau, in a cold climate with little farmland, a distinctive culture grew one that is still beautifully preserved today.
Røros Hotell has been part of this story since 1951, when the first guests checked into what was then called Røros Turisthotell. Over the years the hotel has grown and modernized, while always remaining locally owned and proud of its heritage. Today, Røros Hotell is part of Røroshotellene, continuing the tradition of hospitality deeply rooted in the local
community.
Today, the hotel offers 160 comfortable rooms, a swimming facility with indoor pool and play area for children, as well as restaurants and bars serving dishes based on local ingredients. Whether you join us for a conference, a wedding, a celebration, or simply a weekend in the mountains, you’ll find modern comfort, genuine hospitality, and the very best of Røros.
