A historic hotel in Hafjell
Nermo Hotell sits beautifully in Øyer, just by Hafjell, with views over the Gudbrandsdalen valley and Lillehammer only a short drive away. Travellers have found food, shelter and hospitality here since 1877. Today the hotel is run by the fifth and sixth generations of the Nermo family, guided by the same idea as always: guests should feel at home.
You can stay in the main building from 1932, in one of the four storehouse suites dating back to the 1730s, in the historic farmhands' quarters on the courtyard, or in one of the apartments nearby – 31 rooms, 4 suites and 53 apartments in all.
The storehouse suites have been named one of the world's most romantic places to stay, two years running. Nermo's fireside lounges have a warm, relaxed atmosphere, and many groups looking for a quiet place to work choose to stay here. With Hafjell and Hunderfossen close by, Nermo is also a great base for families.
Food is a central part of the stay. At Restaurant Nermostuene, everything is made from scratch, with ingredients from our own farm, herbs from our own garden and producers across Gudbrandsdalen. Local flavours, craftsmanship and long culinary traditions are at the heart of it – ideally paired with a wine from the hotel's distinctive cellar.
