A Secluded Sanctuary in the Open Sea
Welcome to LILLØY Lindenberg, an island embraced by the wild nature of Western Norway.
Just a 40-minute drive from vibrant Bergen and a short boat ride from Herdla, time slows down here as you reconnect with nature, share stories, and find peace in the quiet. Your stay is about a simpler rhythm—paddling in calm waters, enjoying a meal made from the island’s natural ingredients, a sauna session, or an evening by the fire. It’s a place to unwind without unnecessary distractions.
The island is primarily rented exclusively. You get a private, secluded island with a restored main house and a cozy boat house — two buildings that together offer four bedrooms and four bathrooms, accommodating up to twelve guests.
The culinary experience is central to the stay. The kitchen, led by Antje de Vries, focuses on plant-based, seasonal cuisine, using ingredients either foraged on the island or sourced from local suppliers. Meals are served on handmade ceramics and glassware designed to reflect the surrounding landscape. For a more immersive tasting experience, there’s the Kelp Club—a pop-up dinner that begins with a boat ride and ends with nine dishes cooked over an open fire, featuring fermentation and ingredients from the sea and nearby areas as key elements.
