A historical journey

By the old batteries at Oscarsborg fortress you can almost sense an echo from the cannons that were fired on the night of April 9, 1940. We will never forget when the fortress opened fire and the German cruiser Blücher sank. The historic attack delayed the German invasion force, and it led to the King, the Storting and the government being able to flee north and take up the fight against the occupiers.

Fortunately, this is history today - but at Oscarsborg Fortress, the stories come alive again.
