Værtshuset Bærums Verk

The buildings around the courtyard lend atmosphere to manor house-style meals in surroundings from a bygone age, accompanied by warm hospitality.

Listed in 1939, extensively restored and reopened in 1987, the building is now in the capable hands of Ulla and Bob Laycock, both with a background in hospitality. Salads, soups, impressive sandwiches, shellfish, fish and meat dishes, not to mention desserts and cakes – all the food served here is freshly prepared from scratch, using produce from the innʼs own gardens.

The menu is tailored to the ingredients available and varies with the seasons. Game is of course popular in the autumn. Wines are carefully selected to complement the menu.
