December brings short days and long nights, but that just makes the stars shine brighter, and the Christmas spirit even stronger. It’s the perfect time to relax by the fireplace, take in the calm of the season, and enjoy the special traditions that make Christmas so magical. 

Every day at 4:00 PM during the holidays, we light the firepit, and in our shop, you can sample Christmas treats and sip hot cocoa. Kids can roast marshmallows for free. The Sundet gym and bath are open throughout Christmas, offering a sauna, outdoor bathtubs, yoga, and workout options. If you're feeling generous, you can also leave a gift under the hotel’s tree for someone who could use some extra holiday cheer.

✨ Christmas Eve:
Wake up to a Christmas stocking on your door and join the Christmas service at Ålesund Church. A festive Christmas dinner is served in the lounges, with a cozy fire and lovely holiday atmosphere.

✨ Christmas Day:
Stroll through the Christmas town of Ålesund, unwind in the sauna or outdoor hot tub, try winter kayaking, and enjoy dinner in our cozy living rooms.

✨ Boxing Day:
Celebrate the season with the Christmas edition of AFTER SIX at Brosundet – sparkling drinks, seasonal bites, and cozy holiday vibes

✨ December 27:
Start the day with yoga at Sundet gym and bath at 9:00. Continue the day with the hotel's Christmas version of Afternoon Tea, featuring live music, fine teas, and seasonal delicacies at 14.00.
