The oldest hotel in Northern Norway
For more than 200 years, Fru Haugans Hotel has striven to provide hospitality and service at Northern Norway’s oldest hotel, where tradition and history are tangible. Great emphasis has been placed on retaining the old style and intimate atmosphere.
The hotel is widely known for its fine cuisine, and attach great importance to using high-quality ingredients, ideally locally sourced.
The hotel boasts a unique location at the end of picturesque Sjøgata, and from the beautiful hotel garden you can fish for sea trout in the River Vefsna. The hotel has its own museum and has produced its own guided walk taking in all its historical features. You can also climb Mosjøen Via Ferrata and return by zipline, explore the caves in the area, visit the waterfalls of perhaps the most beautiful river in Norway or try dog-sledding in historical surroundings.
