Round-trip of southern Norway

Day 1 Distance: 165 km
Arrive/depart Bergen. Drive to Stavanger. Make a stop for lunch in Haugesund and Lothe´s, Visit Utstein Kloster at Mosterøy, Norway’s only surviving medieval monastery, and spend the night at the Sola Strand Hotel at Solastranden.

Day 2 Distance: 291 km
Spend the day in Stavanger. Lunch at charming Charlottenlund by Breavatnet before continuing to Fevik and the Strand Hotel Fevik with wonderful sea views.

Day 3 Distance: 168 km
Drive from Fevik to Sandefjord. Visit the pretty towns of white-painted houses along the south coast and spend the night at the Hotel Kong Carl in Sandefjord.

Day 4 Distance: 142 km
Spend the day in Sandefjord. A visit to the Whaling Museum is an experience not to be missed. Drive towards Oslo to Losby Gods and enjoy its peace and tranquillity with good food and drink, or a round of golf on Losby’s own golf courses.

Day 5 Distance: 245 km
Experience Oslo’s bustling city life before departing for Geilo, enjoying lunch at
Værtshuset Bærums Verk on the way. Spend the night at the famed Dr. Holms Hotel in the heart of Geilo. Don’t forget to try one of the hotel’s spa treatments!

Day 6 Distance: 184 km
Geilo to Stalheim/Voss. Drive across the Hardangervidda plateau. Stop off in Øvre Eidfjord and visit the Hardangervidda Natursenter. Continue to either Stalheim or Voss and spend the night at the Stalheim Hotel or Fleischer’s Hotel in Voss.

Day 7 Distance: 140 km
Stalheim/Voss to Bergen. Experience the old Hanseatic wharf at Bryggen, Mount Fløyen and the famous fish market. Have lunch at Fløien Folkerestaurant and dine at Bryggen Tracteursted before settling down for the night at the Hotel Park or Grand Hotel Terminus.
