Historic round tour of Norway

Day 1. Distance: 275 km
Arrive/depart Oslo. Drive from Oslo to Øyer. Spend the night in Nermo Hotell near Hafjell.

Day 2. Distance: 100 km
Fefor to Lom. Visit Fossheim Steinsenter (stone centre) and Lom Stave Church. Spend the night at Fossheim Turisthotell and experience its fantastic cuisine.

Day 3. Distance: 188 km
Lom to Norangsdalen. Stay the night at the Hotel Union Øye, which has been hailed as one of the world’s most authentic historic experiences.

Day 4. Distance: 97 km / 213 km
Norangsdalen to Sandane. Spend the night at Gloppen Hotell, originally created for English lords, or drive on and stay at the romantic Walaker Hotel in Solvorn.

Day 5. Distance: 259 km / 239 km
Sandane/Solvorn to Bergen. Spend the night at Hotel Park or Grand Hotel Terminus in the culture city of Bergen. In the evening enjoy an historic culinary experience at Bryggen Tracteursted or at Fløien Folkerestaurant with panoramic views of Bergen.

Day 6. Distance: 123 km / 140 km
Bergen – Hardanger. Spend the night at Norway’s oldest hotel, Utne Hotel, with magnificent views of the Hardangerfjord.

Day 7. Distance: 258 km / 248 km
Hardanger – Sandnes. Stay the night at the beautiful Kronen Gaard Hotell, or at Sola Strand Hotel right by Norway’s best beach. Stop on the way to visit the Utstein Kloster monastery at Mosterøy for a guided tour and lunch. In the evening, dine in Stavanger at delightful, historic Charlottenlund.

Day 8. Distance: 290 km / 297 km
Sandnes – Fevik. Spend the night at the Strand Hotel Fevik or stop in the pretty little seaside town of Lillesand and stay at the Lillesand Hotel Norway.

Day 9. Distance: 295 km / 209 km
Fevik – Oslo/Moss. End your tour in a real landed estate by spending the night at Losby Gods just outside Oslo, or at the Hotell Refsnes Gods near Moss. Losby has its own golf courses just outside the door, while the Hotell Refsnes Gods has over 400 genuine works of art on the walls.
