The chefs at Fossheim Hotel present specialities from Norwegian traditional food, making their cuisine a destination in itself by transforming old favourites into true delicacies. Many people travel to Fossheim for the food alone, to experience truly memorable culinary delights. Kristoffer Hovland is true to the time of year and only makes use of seasonal ingredients.
We also focus on local foods, using as much produce as possible from local farms, fishing lakes and the mountains. Locally available produce is all the trend right now, and in Lom and the surrounding mountains, we have access to first-class ingredients providing exotic culinary adventures for our guests.
Our restaurant is open to all, whether you are visiting us by yourself or together with friends. We serve both lunch dishes and 7-course menus with accompanying wines in our dining room. Our chefs compose new menus every day. Our wine cellar is well-stocked, and we have imported some of the wines ourselves. Our hotelier and wine connoisseur, Svein Garmo, is passionate about wine and is happy to choose a wine which is in perfect harmony with the different flavours on the menu.
