GamlaVærket Gjæstgiveri og Tracteringssted cannot merely be described as a hotel. It is also a monument to the history of Sandnes. In 1783, the factory Sannæs Tag –og Mursteens – Fabrique started production of brick, thereby forming the foundations for the brickwork and pottery industry in Sandnes. With its unique interior, GamlaVærket is a guesthouse to please all the senses! We are located in the centre of Sandnes, nearby the railway station and the longest pedestrian street in Norway.

Live in style in our elegant, airy rooms. All our rooms are unique – some have nostalgic furnishings with beautiful antiques while others are more modern and feature a minimalistic design.

The old brickwork creates an informal backdrop to a world of culinary delights – whether you are stopping by for a slice of cheesecake and a cappuccino or settling down for a three-course meal with wine. Our menu is founded on local traditions and we only make use of the best seasonal ingredients from the surrounding district.

The Gildesalen (banquet hall) restaurant room seats 90 persons while Gjestestuen (guest room) has space for 50. Then we have the Tørkeloftet (drying loft) and board rooms 1 and 2; space for 16 persons. We provide your very own host for courses and conferences who will discreetly assist you with all your needs. We also have a full range of audio-visual equipment.

We have 28 unique rooms, all with wireless Internet, air conditioning, TV and tiled bathrooms. We can boast the most beautiful bridal suite in the region.
